Module 1 | Fundamental Concepts of Padel Technique

Focused on players of all levels to learn padel technique.

This course is ideal for all types of players, regardless of their level, as we analyze, study, and train all the concepts of padel technique.

In any sport, no matter what it is, the better your technique, the more resources you’ll have to master the ball, your body, movements, preparations, and everything related to body biomechanics.

Regarding the technical process, we analyze everything that happens before and after impact, and above all, how to process it all within the space and time the ball allows. It would be ideal if, as a student in this course, you already have good ball control, no matter the quality of your technique, as we help you with that.

This is a highly recommended course for all levels, whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced player, as we focus on a very specific analysis of all types of strokes, both offensive and defensive.

These are the topics of the content that we will analyze in the course

What does the sport of padel consist of?

We will analyze in a simple, practical, and direct way what this game entails. It is simpler than one might think—the difference lies in understanding it.

Fundamental Technical Concepts of the Stroke

The starting point of each stroke consists of maintaining a correct and quick ready position and returning to it after impact.

Biomechanical Concepts

They are 5 very simple and straightforward steps. The key is to know them and adapt them in the cleanest way to the technique already acquired by each player.

Perceptual Concepts

This is a more complicated topic because it depends more on the individual themselves than on the player, where the measurement of spaces and ball timings must be taken into account.

Types of Impacts

The obsession with topspin (or slice) is one of the most common mistakes among amateur players. The stroke is 100% FLAT; effects such as slice or topspin are merely variations.

Types of Strokes: Offensive and Defensive

We comprehensively analyze the full range of strokes that exist, both at the net and from the baseline. One by one and step by step, covering both the technical process and the objective of each

The Importance of Mastering the Forehand and Backhand

Without a doubt, without perfect mastery of these baseline strokes, it is IMPOSSIBLE to play this sport properly. Amateur players often do not give them the importance they deserve, yet it is literally impossible to play padel well without these fundamental strokes.

Difference Between Ball Control, Mastery, and Precision

Although there are similarities between these concepts, they are distinct. They apply differently depending on whether it is a dominant ball or a non-dominant ball.

How to Learn to Control Your Body?

The body is the core of everything. Each person must control their body in order to execute the stroke properly. In the technical process, the body comes first, then the paddle, and finally the impact. How can we expect to master the ball if we cannot control our own body?

Knowing the Different Shots in Padel

Padel is played with shots. When we talk about shots, it directly relates to high speeds. We analyze fast and slow shots, their directions, and the court zones where they should be applied.

How to Learn to Control the Ball?

As in any area of life, what determines control over something is REPETITION—millions of times, and in the best possible correct way. We analyze how we can learn to control the body; the rest depends on the amount of time each player is willing to invest in it.

The Importance of Mastering the Ball at Low Speed

It is fundamental for learning to play this sport tactically. Understanding that one ball leads to the next. Success in this task on the court is often quite frustrating, as in 90% of cases, players lack the ability to do so.

Difference Between Containment, Force, and Acceleration

We discuss the different types of impacts on the ball when applying pressure. It is easy to understand but difficult to apply—hitting hard is not synonymous with putting the opponent under pressure, and even less so with winning the point.

Ball Behavior on the Glass Walls: Angles, Speeds, and Effects

Commonly known as «ball reading.» To this, we must add the «appropriate footwork adjustment.» Players must understand how the ball behaves in all defensive scenarios—until they have this clear, they will not defend effectively.

Guide to Exercises for Working on Ball Control and Mastery

Each player is provided with a guide of exercises that can be performed individually or with a partner on the court. If time is not invested in these exercises, ball control will not reach the level needed—or the level that the player truly desires.
